the purposeful social space

One of the results of thinking about the meaning and form of organisations is the notion of the purposeful social space: shared desire, spheres of connections, free will and the promise of beauty lay the base for new forms of human entrepreneurship and social government

A manifesto set out the contours of our thinking.

The research into designing purposeful social spaces started with an investigation how to draw representations of this new organising principle. The act of putting the space in some kind of drawing provides new and unexpected insights that are different form a pure textual exploration of the phenomena of the purposeful social space. It shows the interesting contradiction of the ability of a drawing to elevate some essential properties of a space on the one hand and the unattainability of the picture to catch the whole and individual experiences of any space on the other hand.
